Baseball Recap: Brashear Bulls vs. Carrick Raiders

Brashear lost against Carrick back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Bulls fell just short of the Raiders by a score of 5-4. The Bulls have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Dominic Sarokon was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits. Sarokon was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and two RBI.

Sarokon wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Achillies Minton, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Minton also brought in an RBI, marking his first of the season.

The loss was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 3-3. As for Carrick, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season.

Brashear will host Sto-Rox at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bulls are facing the Vikings at the right time seeing as the Vikings are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Carrick, they are taking a road trip to face off against Toronto at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
