Softball Recap: Northpoint Christian Picks Up Tenth Consecutive Win

Northpoint Christian had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 13-run drubbing they dealt Lake Cormorant on Friday. Northpoint Christian put the hurt on Lake Cormorant with a sharp 14-1 victory. Considering the Trojans have won six games by more than eight runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Ada Woodruff made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three doubles, four RBI, and one run.

In other batting news, Katy Bobo was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 4-for-4. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 1.2 stolen bases per game. Another player making a difference was Hannah Bostain, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Northpoint Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
