Baseball Recap: Newton Comes Up Short

Newton had taken Sussex County Tech down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Wednesday. The Braves fell 4-1 to Sussex County Tech. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Sussex County Tech this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-5 on Monday.

Newton has also been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season. As for Sussex County Tech, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-7.

Newton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sussex County Tech, they will venture away from home to challenge Morris County Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
