Independence entered their tilt with Trinity on Monday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They put the hurt on the Trojans with a sharp 3-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Blue Devils, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Independence was: they took every set by at least 12 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-13, 25-9.

Leading Independence to victory were Sofia Pichert and Madelyn Mudra. Pichert had 14 digs and three assists, while Mudra had ten digs. That's the most digs Pichert has posted over her last six matchups.

Independence's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Trinity, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Independence will venture away from home to face off against North Royalton at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Trinity, they will challenge Beachwood at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
