Softball Game Preview: Cle Elum-Roslyn Warriors vs. Cashmere Bulldogs

Cle Elum-Roslyn is a perfect 6-0 against Cashmere since March of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Warriors will face off against the Bulldogs at 3:00 p.m. Cle Elum-Roslyn has given up an average of 8.3 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Cle Elum-Roslyn fell victim to Kittitas and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Coyotes, falling 16-0. The Warriors have struggled against the Coyotes recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, Cashmere had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Warriors as they made off with a 21-8 victory. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won five contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

Cle Elum-Roslyn's loss dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Cashmere, the win got them back to even at 8-8.

Cle Elum-Roslyn skirted past Cashmere 13-11 when the teams last played back in April of 2017. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
