Volleyball Recap: Allie Duncan Key Part of Team Effort in Crusaders Win

Trinity Prep hadn't done well against North Hills Christian recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Crusaders came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 17-25, 25-21, 25-15.

Trinity Prep's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Allie Duncan, who had six blocks and three aces. Those three aces gave Duncan a new career-high. Michele Nolasco was another key player, getting nine digs and two aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Trinity Prep was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 13 aces in five consecutive matchups.

Trinity Prep has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. As for North Hills Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-5.

Looking ahead, Trinity Prep is taking a road trip to challenge Marin Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for North Hills Christian, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 victory against Swett on the 17th.
