Braxton County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 22nd straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Liberty Mountaineers, falling 26-18. On the bright side, the 18- run effort marked the Eagles' highest-scoring match to date.

Jade Chapman was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, four runs, and four RBI. Alexis DeHaven was another key player, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs.

Braxton County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-19. As for Liberty, the win snapped their losing streak at ten games and leaves them with a 2-11 record.

Braxton County didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 26-0 loss against Ritchie County on the 30th. Liberty has also already played their next game (against Buckhannon-Upshur), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
