Elgin and Georgetown are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2017, but likely not for long. The Elgin Wildcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Georgetown Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Elgin has given up an average of 7 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Elgin is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Weiss just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Friday. They came up short against the Wolves, falling 15-1.

Meanwhile, Georgetown got the win against East View on Friday by a conclusive 12-2. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now won nine in a row.

Georgetown now has a winning record of 8-7-1. As for Elgin, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10.

Elgin skirted past Georgetown 1-0 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Will Elgin repeat their success, or does Georgetown have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
