Volleyball Recap: Althoff Catholic Takes a Loss

Althoff Catholic was the 2-0 winner over O'Fallon when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Crusaders fell 2-0 to the Panthers on Wednesday. The Crusaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Althoff Catholic was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-22.

O'Fallon's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kayla Williams, who had 11 digs and one assist.

Althoff Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 18-12. As for O'Fallon, they pushed their record up to 16-11 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Althoff Catholic wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Mt. Vernon on the 20th. As for O'Fallon, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Collinsville on the 16th.
