Genoa Area had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.3 points) and they went ahead and made it nine on Friday. They strolled past the Lake Flyers with points to spare, taking the game 35-20. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Comets' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 164th, while the Flyers are ranked 478th).

Genoa Area's win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Lake, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
