Volleyball Recap: Morse Picks Up Fifth Straight Win at Home

There's no place like home for Morse, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They came out on top against the Madison Warhawks by a score of 3-1 on Wednesday. This was a revenge game for the Tigers: when they faced off against the Warhawks last Tuesday, they had to take a 3-0 defeat.

The match was exciting from start to finish, as three sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. The final score came out to 26-24, 26-24, 19-25, 28-26.

Morse had a senior duo take command as Jhiovanni Lacosta had six digs, two blocks, and two aces and Jacob Frijas had 20 digs and two assists. Lacosta has been hot for a while, having also posted 14 or more assists the last 12 times he's played.

Morse's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-14. As for Madison, their loss dropped their record down to 14-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Morse will welcome San Diego at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Madison, they will host University City at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
