Corcoran extended their postseason success on Friday against Shafter. They put the hurt on the Generals with a sharp 18-6 victory. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 16 matches by seven runs or more this season.

Corcoran let Brayden Espinoza and Cortez Portillo run wild. Espinoza went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs, while Portillo got on base in all five of his plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most runs Portillo has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Elijah Muthana, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two RBI and one run.

Corcoran has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Shafter, the defeat snapped their winning streak at 12 games and leaves them with a 19-5 record.

As of now, neither Corcoran nor the Generals have any future games scheduled.
