Baseball Recap: Pueblo Takes a Loss

After flying high against Sahuaro last Monday, Pueblo came back down to earth. The Pueblo Warriors fell 13-8 to the Maricopa Rams on Thursday.

Alex Cuen was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Arian Roman was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Pueblo has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. The victory snapped Maricopa's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-7 record.

Looking ahead, Pueblo will square off against Desert View at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Maricopa, they will challenge Canyon del Oro at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Canyon del Oro will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Maricopa surely won't give up without a fight.
