Basketball Recap: Curlew Cougars vs. Inchelium Hornets
Curlew lost against Inchelium two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Curlew Cougars were outmatched by the Inchelium Hornets and fell 88-51. The Cougars were down 60-40 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Theia Grady and Annika Baker certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Grady went 7 of 16 on her way to 16 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals, while Baker dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 boards. Grady is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Melissa Bineau, who posted nine points.

Even though they lost, Curlew smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in six consecutive contests.
Ronni Seymour was her usual excellent self, putting up 38 points for Inchelium. Those 38 points gave Seymour a new career-high. Marianna Agapith was another key player, scoring 20 points.
Curlew's defeat dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Inchelium, the win was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-1.
As of now, neither Curlew nor Inchelium have any future games scheduled.
