Baseball Game Preview: Hesperia Scorpions vs. Silverado Hawks

For the second straight game, Hesperia will face off against Silverado. The Scorpions will square off against the Hawks at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Hesperia is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.6 runs per game this season.

Hesperia took a loss when they played away from home last Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They blew past Silverado 14-2.

Carlos Ramirez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He pitched seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2025.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lincoln Snow, who went 3-for-5 with three stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Aguilar, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Hesperia hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in three consecutive matchups.

Hesperia's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Silverado, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-2.
