White Oak hadn't done well against Dixon recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Vikings came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bulldogs, sneaking past 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Vikings have posted since September 24, 2024.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (113-108) White Oak actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 23-25, 15-25, 28-26, 15-12.

Their offense was headlined by Alyssa Carkhuff and Kylie Stephens, who picked up nine kills apiece. They got some help from Mariah Reeves and her 24 assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.
