Soccer Recap: Independence Comes Up Short

Independence came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 5-0 to the Emerson Mavericks. The Knights have struggled against the Mavericks recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meetings.

Independence's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Emerson, their win bumped their record up to 9-5.

Independence wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 4-0 loss against Memorial on the 28th. As for Emerson, they have also already played their next matchup, a 6-4 victory against Lebanon Trail on the 28th.
