Baseball Recap: Cumberland Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Cumberland took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against Washington Township, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Colts narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Minutemen 4-3. The victory was nothing new for the Colts as they're now sitting on three straight.

Kevin Fiorani was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2025.

Cumberland's record is now 15-8. As for Washington Township, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-12 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Cumberland will take on Delsea at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Washington Township, they will challenge Gloucester Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Rams' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Minutemen's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
