Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Delano's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They were dealt an 82-47 loss at the hands of McFarland. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1256th, while the Cougars are ranked 464th).
Taft will have to contain Jotham Amodo as he made an impact in Delano's last game. He posted 20 points. Marcos De Ocampo was another key player, putting up eight points.
Even though they lost, Delano was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in February of 2024.
