Elkhart entered their tilt with Corsicana on Saturday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Tigers.

Shu'Nydeya Whitehead paced Elkhart's offense, picking up five kills. Whitehead got some help from Layla Walding and her eight assists. Walding also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Madiline Esparza, racking up three apiece.

Elkhart's win bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Corsicana, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Elkhart didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Scurry-Rosser on the 23rd. As for Corsicana, they will head out to take on Royse City at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
