Basketball Recap: Dwyer Snags Third Win in Last Four Games

Dwyer won the last time they faced Palm Beach Gardens, and JORDAN QUINCE did his part to make sure it happened again. The Dwyer Panthers came out on top against the Palm Beach Gardens Gators by a score of 68-58 on Tuesday thanks in part to QUINCE, who went 6 for 12 en route to 20 points along with six boards and five assists. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played.

Another player making a difference was AHMAD LAWRENCE, who posted eight points in addition to 13 rebounds and three steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in boards.

Despite the defeat, Palm Beach Gardens saw an underclassman step up: freshman Trent Coley went 5 of 9 on his way to 17 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Those 17 points set a new season-high mark for Coley. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Thomas, who had ten points.

Dwyer is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.8 points per game. As for Palm Beach Gardens, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 11-5.

Dwyer wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 48-45 win against Jupiter on the 17th. As for Palm Beach Gardens, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, an 81-68 defeat against St. John Paul II Academy on the 16th.
