After losing to Ayersville the last time they met, Antwerp decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Antwerp Archers walked away with a 58-51 victory over the Ayersville Pilots on Thursday.

Despite the loss, Ayersville still got an impressive performance from Kendra Waldron, who went 9 for 15 on her way to 23 points in addition to eight boards and four steals. That's the most rebounds Waldron has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Knueven, who put up 11 points and eight boards.

Antwerp's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-7 and their overall record up to 7-14. As for Ayersville, their loss was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-17.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Antwerp will venture away from home to square off against Crestview at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Crestview is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.2 points per game this season. As for Ayersville, they will take on Hicksville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ayersville is facing Hicksville at the right time seeing as Hicksville is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
