Softball Recap: Burgin Comes Up Short

In Tuesday's Canine Competition, Burgin had to take the L. They lost 15-3 to the Paris Greyhounds on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Greyhounds: they've now lost four in a row.

Jocelyn Stanley made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.

Burgin's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Paris, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 12-8.

Burgin wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 16-3 win against Cornerstone Christian Academy on the 24th. As for Paris, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 18-0 victory against Augusta on the 28th.
