Basketball Recap: Hamburg Takes a Loss

Hamburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 64-46 to the Monticello Billies. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 51-33 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Hamburg's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Monticello, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hamburg will take on Crossett at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hamburg is facing Crossett at the right time seeing as Crossett is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Monticello, they will square off against Watson Chapel at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
