Softball Recap: Proviso East Comes Up Short

Proviso East was the 14-6 winner over Chicago Hope Academy when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Pirates lost 21-1 to Chicago Hope Academy on Friday. That's two games in a row now that the Pirates have lost by exactly 20 runs.

Proviso East dropped their record down to 1-4 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Chicago Hope Academy, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.

Looking ahead, Proviso East will be playing in front of their home fans against Jones at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Chicago Hope Academy, they are taking a road trip to challenge Bishop McNamara at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
