Soccer Recap: Frankfort Comes Up Short

After flying high against Shawnee on Saturday, Frankfort came back down to earth. The Panthers fell 2-0 to the Montgomery County Indians on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for Frankfort in their meetings with Montgomery County: they've now lost three in a row.

Frankfort's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6-1. As for Montgomery County, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-5-1 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Frankfort will venture away from home to square off against Harrison County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Frankfort will be up against Harrison County's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.57 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Montgomery County, they will head out to take on Paris at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
