Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fond du Lac). They blew past the Appleton North Lightning 16-5 on Friday. Considering the Cardinals have won seven games by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Fond du Lac is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.4 runs over those games. Having lost for the first time this season, Appleton North fell to 2-1.

Looking ahead, Fond du Lac will be playing in front of their home fans against Kaukauna at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Galloping Ghosts' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Cardinals' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Appleton North does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
