Soccer Recap: Santa Gertrudis Academy Takes a Loss

Santa Gertrudis Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They lost 11-0 to the London Pirates. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-0 back in January.

Santa Gertrudis Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for London, the win (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 17-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Santa Gertrudis Academy will square off against Rockport-Fulton at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Santa Gertrudis Academy has given up an average of 5.4 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week. As for London, they will face off against King at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. London knows how to get goals on the board -- the team has finished with four goals or more in their past six matches -- so hopefully King likes a good challenge.
