Basketball Recap: Nantahala Comes Up Short

Nantahala lost against Swain County back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Nantahala Hawks took a 90-75 bruising from the Swain County Maroon Devils. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Nantahala's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Swain County, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. It'll be Battle of the Birds when the Nantahala Hawks duke it out with the Shining Rock Classical Academy Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Swain County, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Summit Charter at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
