Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Boyd-Buchanan

Boyd-Buchanan had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They blew past the White County Warriors 11-2. The Buccaneers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by eight runs or more this season.

Peyton Schwieter looked comfortable as she struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jayde Sims, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-4. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Mercedes Smith, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Boyd-Buchanan kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in May of 2024.
