Mt. Pulaski lost to Riverton back in August of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Hilltoppers had just enough and edged out the Hawks 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hilltoppers.

Mt. Pulaski had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-21, 25-17.

Mt. Pulaski can attribute much of their success to Audrey Cooper, who had 15 digs. Those 15 digs gave Cooper a new career-high.

Mt. Pulaski's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Riverton, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Mt. Pulaski wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Dunlap on the 30th. As for Riverton, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against North Mac on the 2nd.
