Softball Recap: Skyview Wolverines vs. The Academy Wildcats
Skyview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 16-1 to The Academy Wildcats. That's two games in a row now that the Wolverines have lost by exactly 15 runs.
Skyview's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for The Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-5.
Skyview will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Weld Central at 9:00 a.m. Weld Central is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season. As for The Academy, they are on the road again on Saturday to play Elizabeth at 11:00 a.m. Elizabeth knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past seven matchups -- so hopefully The Academy likes a good challenge.
