Softball Recap: Hondo Owls vs. Natalia Mustangs        
        
		
            
 After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Lytle, Hondo was happy to have turned things around  on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Natalia Mustangs by a score of  15-10. With that  victory, Hondo brought their scoring average up to 6.5  runs per game.
 The team  relied heavily on  Amily Benavides, who  went 4-for-5 with a  home run, two  runs,  and two  RBI.  Ashlyn Evans was another key contributor,  scoring a  run while going 3-for-5.
 On Natalia's side,  Skylene Gallegos led a balanced group of hitters,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was  Ary Ramirez, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-4.
 Hondo's win bumped their record up to 4-13. As for Natalia, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-15-1.
 Hondo will head out on the road to  square off against  Cotulla at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. Hondo knows how to get  runs on the board -- the  squad has finished with flashy  run totals in its past four games -- so hopefully Cotulla likes a good challenge. As for Natalia, they will look to defend their home field  on Friday against Lytle at 6:00  p.m. Natalia is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 6.3  runs per game  this season.
