Soccer Recap: Cactus Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Estrella Foothills, Cactus was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Mesquite Wildcats an 8-0 shutout. Cactus' offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last seven games.

Cactus' first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-10. As for Mesquite, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.

Cactus will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Westview at 6:00 p.m. on the 26th. As for Mesquite, they will face off against ALA - Queen Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. ALA - Queen Creek will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Mesquite surely won't give up without a fight.
