Basketball Recap: Bartram Trail Snags Fifth Victory in Last Six Games

Bartram Trail won the last time they faced Riverside, and Alyssa Donohue did her part to make sure it happened again. The Bartram Trail Bears blew past the Riverside Generals 53-25 on Friday thanks in part to Donohue, who went 7 for 12 on her way to 18 points in addition to six steals and four blocks. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played.

Another player making a difference was Zoe Schmookler, who posted four points along with ten boards and four steals. That's the most steals she has posted since back in January of 2024.

Bartram Trail has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.5 points per game. As for Riverside, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-14.

Bartram Trail and Riverside are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Bartram Trail will square off against Forest at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. That match will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Donohue and Ja'Niyah McCoy. As for Riverside, they will head out to take on Beachside at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Beachside will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Riverside surely won't give up without a fight.
