Baseball Recap: Zion Christian Find Success

Zion Christian won the last time they faced Heritage Christian Academy and things went their way on Thursday too. The Mountaineers came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 5-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mountaineers.

The team relied heavily on Levi Kloosterman, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Freddie Bierling was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.

Zion Christian's victory bumped their record up to 21-6. As for Heritage Christian Academy, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Coming up, Zion Christian will challenge Sacred Heart Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Heritage Christian Academy, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lawrence at 4:30 p.m. on the 27th.
