Basketball Recap: Aquinas Academy Takes a Loss

Aquinas Academy lost against Tome back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Aquinas Academy Crusaders fell just short of the Tome Titans by a score of 49-46. The Crusaders' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Aquinas Academy's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-3. As for Tome, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Aquinas Academy will square off against Calvary Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Calvary Christian Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Tome, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against West Nottingham at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Tome has three straight wins, West Nottingham has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
