Baseball Recap: Lebanon Extends Road Winning Streak to Four

Lebanon came out on top against West Clermont on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run second inning. The Warriors put the hurt on the Wolves with a sharp 8-1 victory. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by seven runs or more this season.

Colton Cannon spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits.

On the hitting side, Bryce Bohman was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one triple. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Hurst, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Lebanon kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in three consecutive contests.

Lebanon's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-2. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for West Clermont, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Coming up, West Clermont will take on Walnut Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.43 runs per game on average), something the Wolves will no doubt try to take advantage of. Lebanon will be paying especially close attention to West Clermont's game: after West Clermont faces off against Walnut Hills, they'll take on Lebanon again at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
