Volleyball Game Preview: Rochelle Hubs vs. LaSalle-Peru Cavaliers

The Rochelle Hubs will venture away from home to take on the LaSalle-Peru Cavaliers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

On Monday, Rochelle came up short against Rock Falls and fell 2-0. The loss continues a trend for the Hubs in their meetings with the Rockets: they've now lost four in a row.

While Rochelle was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 28-26, 25-17.

Meanwhile, LaSalle-Peru came tearing into Tuesday's contest with 18 straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Pirates by a score of 2-0.

LaSalle-Peru not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Ottawa to exactly 18 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-18.

LaSalle-Peru's win bumped their record up to 21-1. As for Rochelle, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-11.

Rochelle couldn't quite get it done against LaSalle-Peru when the teams last played back in October of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Hubs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
