Softball Recap: Carvers Bay Comes Up Short

Carvers Bay fell victim to Georgetown and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 13-0 to the Bulldogs. If the Bears were looking for revenge after losing 8-3 to the Bulldogs when the teams met back in April of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Carvers Bay's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Georgetown, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

Carvers Bay will square off against Waccamaw at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.75 runs per game on average), something the Bears will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Georgetown, they will face off against Andrews at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
