Baseball Preview: Palisades Pumas vs. Butler Bulldogs        
        
		
            The Palisades Pumas will challenge the Butler Bulldogs at 6:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Palisades made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Olympic, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Palisades' pitcher stepped up to hand Olympic  a   17-0 shutout  on Tuesday. The  win was a breath of fresh air for the Pumas as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Palisades got a  massive  performance out of  Lincoln Wise, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with one  home run, five  RBI,  and two  runs. Those  two  hits gave  Wise a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Max Wearing, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with one  home run, three  runs,  and four  RBI.
 Palisades was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .714. They are  a perfect 3-0 when  they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile,  winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Butler). They blew past Rocky River 24-7 on Tuesday. With that  victory, the Bulldogs brought their scoring average up to 7.2  runs per game.
 Jackson Clark looked comfortable as he  tossed one inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. He also  tossed  no  earned runs, which is notable because Butler is 3-1 when he allows at  most  two  earned runs, but 2-6 otherwise.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Chase Decurtis, who  scored three  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  Jhanuel Ramos, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-2.
 Palisades' win bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Butler, their victory  ended  a  four-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 5-7.
