Soccer Recap: Columbus Has No Trouble Against Hallettsville

Columbus kept a clean sheet against Hallettsville on Monday. Everything went their way against the Hallettsville Brahmas as they made off with a 5-0 victory. The Cardinals have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Brahmas, too.

Columbus hit Hallettsville with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Jesus Mendoza (2), Mario Rubio (2), and Irving Giles.

The win got Columbus back to even at 2-2-2. As for Hallettsville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2-1.

Columbus will be playing at home against Palacios at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Hallettsville, they are taking a road trip to square off against Bay City at 5:30 p.m. on January 27th.
