Volleyball Recap: Harpeth Indians vs. Fairview Yellowjackets
Fairview typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Harpeth proved too difficult a challenge. They had just enough and edged the Fairview Yellowjackets out 3-2. That's more bragging rights for the Indians, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Harpeth got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-19, 19-25, 25-22, 23-25, 19-17.
Layla Curtis and Kennedi Black certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Curtis had ten digs, while Black had 19 kills, 13 digs, and two aces. Black is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in the last 13 games she's played dating back to last season.
Harpeth pushed their record up to 22-8 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Fairview, their loss dropped their record down to 21-9.
