Volleyball Game Preview: Mountain Crest Mustangs vs. Ridgeline Riverhawks

The Mountain Crest Mustangs will square off against the Ridgeline Riverhawks at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Mountain Crest comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Mountain Crest came up short against Sky View on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-20, 25-14.

Meanwhile, Ridgeline didn't have quite enough to beat Sky View on Wednesday and fell 3-2. While the Riverhawks didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bobcats 25-19 in the first set.

Ridgeline took Sky View into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-17, 25-15, 13-25, 16-14.

Mountain Crest's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Ridgeline, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 8-7.

Mountain Crest suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Ridgeline in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can Mountain Crest avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
