Soccer Game Preview: Rocky Mountain Lutheran vs. Front Range Christian

Rocky Mountain Lutheran hasn't had much luck against Front Range Christian recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Eagles are taking a road trip to face off against the Falcons at 4:30 p.m. One thing working in Rocky Mountain Lutheran's favor is that they have posted at least four goals in their last three matchups.

Rocky Mountain Lutheran is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. Everything went their way against Jefferson on Friday as they made off with an 8-1 victory. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 4-0.

Rocky Mountain Lutheran's offense was hitting Jefferson from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Emely Corado Vega led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Front Range Christian hadn't done well against Dawson School recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Falcons had just enough and edged out the Mustangs 3-2. That's two games straight that Front Range Christian have won by just one goal.

The win was the third in a row for Front Range Christian, bringing their record up to 12-2-1. As for Rocky Mountain Lutheran, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6-4.

Rocky Mountain Lutheran suffered a grim 4-0 defeat to Front Range Christian when the teams last played back in March. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
