Preview: St. Andrew's Episcopal Saints vs. Heidelberg Oilers
The St. Andrew's Episcopal Saints will take on the Heidelberg Oilers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully St. Andrew's Episcopal focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Friday.
Last Friday, St. Andrew's Episcopal was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 44-39 to Pelahatchie. While losing is never fun, St. Andrew's Episcopal can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 243rd, while Pelahatchie is ranked 91st).
St. Andrew's Episcopal's loss came about despite a quality game from Larrson Calhoun, who scored 23 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Calhoun has scored all season. Justin Lindsay was another key contributor, scoring five points along with six rebounds and five steals.
Meanwhile, even though Collins scored an imposing 62 points on Friday, Heidelberg still came out on top. Heidelberg managed a 67-62 win over Collins.
St. Andrew's Episcopal's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Heidelberg, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-17 record this season.
