Johnson had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They walked away with  a   4-1  win over the La Vernia Bears.
La Vernia's batters probably weren't too happy with  Bridgett Alviar, who pitched a no hitter  and racked up 11 Ks (she gave up three walks).
 At the plate,  Emree Massaad was  excellent,  scoring a  run and  stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. She is  on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as she's  now  snagged  at least one in each of the last three games she's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kinlee McGuire, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-2.
Johnson pushed their record up to 18-3-1 with the  victory, which was their fourth straight  at home. The  home  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for La Vernia, their defeat  ended  a  three-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 17-6.
 Coming up, Johnson will square off against Clemens at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average (the Jaguars 4, the Buffaloes 3.2) so any  runs scored will be well earned. As for La Vernia, they will be playing in front of their home fans against San Antonio Memorial  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Bears are facing the Minutemen at the right time seeing as the Minutemen are stuck on  a  nine-game losing streak.
