Basketball Recap: Coastal Homeschool's Loss Ends 11-Game Winning Streak at Home

Coastal HomeSchool fought the good fight in their overtime match against Bethesda Academy on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 54-53 to the Bethesda Academy Blazers. It was the first time this season that the Hurricanes let down their fans at home.

When it comes to explaining why Coastal HomeSchool lost, don't look at Micah Faith. Despite the final result, he went 7 of 12 on his way to 25 points and five rebounds. That's the most points Faith has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Tylor Mascu?ana, who posted four points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

Israel Wright continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Bethesda Academy, putting up 21 points and four steals. Christian Vaughn was another key player, posting five points and seven boards.

Coastal HomeSchool's defeat ended an 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 13-8. As for Bethesda Academy, the victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 4-8.

Coastal HomeSchool wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 61-41 win against Faith Baptist Christian Academy on the 14th. As for Bethesda Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 57-51 victory against Cross on the 14th.
