Football Game Preview: Cape Fear Colts vs. Sanderson Spartans

Two dominant backs in Tai Phillips and Ben Young III are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Cape Fear Colts will take on the Sanderson Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cape Fear is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last seven games.

Two weeks ago, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Cape Fear beat Scotland 12-7.

Meanwhile, it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Sanderson had no problem doing just that on Friday. They really took it to the Warriors for the full four quarters, racking up a 41-6 victory. Considering the Spartans have won four games by more than 34 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Sanderson's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Cape Fear, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.
