Christian Brothers Academy lost against Albany back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Christian Brothers Academy Brothers were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 59-58 to the Albany Falcons. The Brothers' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Despite the defeat, Christian Brothers Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jj Osinski went 8 of 16 en route to 25 points and five rebounds. That was a full 43.1% of Christian Brothers Academy's points, marking the fifth time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Jack Hulett, who earned ten points and seven boards.

Even though they lost, Christian Brothers Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in four consecutive contests.

Christian Brothers Academy's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 6-4. As for Albany, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

The Brothers didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 50-40 win against the Brothers on the 18th. As for Albany, they will take on Mt. St. Michael Academy at 2:00 p.m. on Monday.
